batctl-dbg software package provides B.A.T.M.A.N. advanced control and management tool (debug files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install batctl-dbg
batctl-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the batctl-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep batctl-dbg *
You will get with batctl-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
